I’m sure we can all agree, there’s not much that’s cuter than a pair of newborn hands or feet. They have all those lovely wrinkles and creases, which make them super squidgable. The trouble is, they grow so quickly and before you know it, they’re starting school (or Uni in my case)!

 

 

One way to cherish that gorgeous newborn stage forever is with a detailed hand or foot cast of your baby. You can see from the examples of my work that a baby casting manages to capture all those lovely textures and details beautifully. My newborn hand & feet casts are almost as good as the real thing.

Your lifecasting options

It’s not just newborn babies hands and feet I cast. I can also cast the hands of older babies, children and extended family members too. Whether you want to capture you and your partner as a couple holding hands, a small family group or maybe even a grandparent’s hand. Life casts can be created to capture every age. I love being creative so if you have an idea for a life cast, get in touch to see if it’s possible.

I took my daughter to Helen when she was 1 to get a foot and hand cast. Helen was so friendly and made me feel at ease instantly (I was anxious my daughter was going to have a meltdown!) She is so calm, my daughter didn’t have time to get upset and was intrigued by it all. Helen is a mother and you can tell by the way she interacted so well with my daughter. I love her casts, they are such a sweet way to remember those baby years as well as so thoughtfully done and presented when we picked them up. I would highly recommend using Helen and look forward to getting an updated cast when my daughter is older!

Helen’s absolutely great! The whole journey was wonderful and seamless. My husband took our son to get his hand and foot moulded and in all honesty, we didn’t know if he was going to sit still in a new environment. Feb 2018: Emma’s casting - A lovely welcoming atmosphere, and felt at ease straight away. The casting was explained to me while Emma slept and it was a very smooth process for her. the outcome of the cast was better than I imagined. It is in such a beautiful box frame and Emma (now 3) asks me who’s hand and feet they are! Would definitely recommend. I first used Helen in 2016 for my first born son’s hand and feet. Helen was fantastic with him even when we had to try a few times to get the perfect cast, she was very calm and kind. The whole process from start to finish was seamless. Helen took the cast of my daughters foot whilst my little one was in a high chair. My daughter didn't seem too bothered by the process at all. Now she is nearly 2, she sees her cast of her tiny foot and always says "my foot" when she sees it. Thank you so much for the sweetest keepsake ever!

My husband bought me a cast as a gift for my first Mother’s Day. Helen cast my son’s feet on the day he turned twelve weeks and it was a wonderful experience. I took my sister and Helen made us all feel so comfortable in her lovely home. My son even managed to keep his feet still to create the most lovely cast (even though Helen assured me that we’d do it again if it wasn’t perfect), which is now beautifully bronze finished and framed in a simple black box frame. I just love having a physical reminder of my little baby’s tiny feet.

Your life casting appointment will take place at my home in Chandlers Ford, Hampshire and takes about an hour. 

 

During this time we will not only take the casting moulds but also  discuss the finish of your hand or foot cast including the framing or display options you would like.
